Great to see a site for the McNerneys. My folks originated in Co. Longford. My grandfather and grandmother came to Scotland having married in Ireland (Anthony and Mary). My grandfather had a number of sisters, some becoming nuns and at least one emmigrated to the States. Her name was Rose. She appears to have settled in the Boston area and had at least two daughters. I met them once when I was a young boy in 1966/67. My grandfather died in 1968 and my mother lost touch with the Stateside relatives. It was only when my mother died in 1993 that I became aware that I had lost valuable sources family history. It's a long shot I know but maybe you can advise on how best to begin trying to find out more about my McNerney clan in the USA
