My name of McNerney comes from County Antrim in 1862.  My great grandfather was born on a farm near Ballintoy in 1850 and the name was spelled McAnerganey.  It was shortened when he, his father, his uncles, and his grandmother came to Pennsylvania.  Are we related, do you think, to most of the McNerneys in the United States and Ireland?
