My wife's great grandfather was a Michael McNerney born near Manchester in
Northern England in 1848 to a Patrick McNerny (b. 1806) and Mary McDermott
(b. 1816), both born in Ireland. Michael moved to the Scranton, PA in 1884,
with some of the family coming later. Michael had married a Mary Margaret
Burke in St. Chad's Church, Manchester in 1871 and their daughter Mary Agnes
McNerney married John James Riley in Peterborough, England, in 1897 and they
also moved to the Scranton area after WW I where my wife's father William
Riley was born.

This may not coincide with your family but I thought it worth trying. Thank
